Riley's Elk Hunt

Riley drew out for a big bull elk tag this year. We were all surprised and excited. He went and bought a few trail cameras so that he could see what was coming and going on their family property in Strawberry. All summer long, we seen very little elk, and needless to say I was loosing confidence that he would get an elk on their property :). He has been going up there every weekend to check his cameras and we got a million pictures (of deer, moose, baby moose, does, and very few elk). I am surprised that our computer has not crashed from them all.

He left to go up there on Tuesday morning and didn't come back until Sunday morning, and Sunday morning he lucked out and found this big bugger roaming through the trees and got him. Thankfully his 2 friends went up there on the weekend, and helped him butcher and pack it off the hill. Here are a few pictures of him with the elk.

Kaedynn was so excited that he got one when I told her; but she would NOT get a picture next to it once he got it home. She got her pink play gun out and kept pretending she was shooting it.
