Christmas Morning 2009

We had an incredible Christmas this year. Kaedynn got everything that she asked for ... and then some. Remzley got a bunch of clothes and diapers and rattles.. which is really all the baby needs.

Here are some pictures from Christmas Morning at our home.

Don't ask me where his other sock is.. he is always missing one. I think his big sister likes to take them on and off and then she forgets where she puts them.

Remzley mad.. he hates to be put down.. he likes to just be held all day long.

These are cute pictures of Remzley. He is just hanging out on my lap.. watching Dad take some pictures.

Kaedynn with her FAVORITE thing that Santa brought her.. in front of all her loot she got.

This is Remzley's favorite thing he got (says Kaedynn) lol.

Kaedynn with her fake princess press on nails that she got from Santa.. she thought they were really cool until she got them on and realized that she couldn't do anything with nails.. lol

Kaedynn with the bags of candy she got in her stocking.

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! We sure did at our house. We are very excited to see what the new year brings.

Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve at our house consists of opening up new Christmas Pajamas for the entire family, which we MUST wear or Santa Claus will not come. Kaedynn kept asking me if she could see her jamas before to "ensure that she would like them"... but i would not let her.

Here is the plate with milk and a sugar cookie that we baked earlier for Santa Claus. Kaedynn was very happy when she looked at it in the morning and seen just a few crumbles of the cookie left on the plate.

This is her pouting, becuase she wanted to take a picture, and i wouldnt let her. You have to love her attitude.. that is for sure.

This is Kaedynn and Remzy showing up their new Christmas PJ's. They both loved them.

This is Kaedynn showing the camera her new jama's that she got.

Me, Kaedynn and Remz showing the camera Remz's new pajamas that he got. (since he couldn't hold them up himself.

New Pictures

I took the kids down to the mall to see Santa this year. Kaedynn could not wait to tell Santa that she wanted a Nintendo DS.. She has been begging us to make sure that Santa knows that is what she really wants. Every opportunity that she gets to see Santa to tell him that.. she is all over it.
Here is their picture.

We also went and did pictures down at Kiddie Kandids the Saturday before Christmas.. BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE!! The mall was a ZOO!!! We drove around in the parking lot for about 30 minutes looking for a parking spot and there were lines of cars just putting around in lines.. it was terrible. Then once we finally got parked and went inside the mall, there were people EVERYWHERE it was like Walmart on a Black Friday.. not joking. I have never seen anything like it in my life. We did get good pictures of the kids though.. I think they turned out GREAT!! I can not believe that my baby girl is already 5.. my how time flies.

We also went to Spanish Forks' Festival of lights on Sunday night and drove through the lights. We usually do that every year after my nephew Zack's birthday party. It is a lot of fun.. and the kids really have a lot of fun piling in a car to go drive through them :)

We also went up to Temple Square on Saturday night to go look at the lights... it was a disaster.. there were SO MANY people, and I remembered it being a lot better then it was when i went last (probably 10 years ago)... I think we all determined that we would rather drive through the lights at Thanksgiving Point or Spanish Fork instead of go back up there. My husband is not one that loves to be in places with 5 million people.. he gets angry and aggravated. So I probably should have chosen a different time/weekend to go when it was less crowded. We all might have enjoyed it better.

We are all doing good. I can't wait for Christmas to be over. I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off lately.. I am not sure if it is from all the Christmas running around i have been doing, or if it is from our new Remzley addition, or what it is... i am hoping after Christmas things will slow down a little more so i can enjoy being off and at home hanging out with the kids before i have to go back to work. I have 12 weeks off; which means that i will have to go back to work on February 15th.. YUK it seems like that it coming WAY TO QUICK! I am dreading going back to work. I am kind of liking this whole stay at home thing this time around. If only we did not have 5 million bills to pay on. Maybe someday it will happen :). One can wish for it right?

Any ways.. i hope you all have a great Christmas and enjoy your holiday season.

1st Winter Storm FUN!

We got our first real snow storm of the season on Monday 12/7/09. Here are some pictures of Kaedynn playing out in the snow. She gets SO excited for the snow; but when she goes out to play in it she only lasts for about 30 minutes and then she is done b/c she gets too cold.
Here she is making a snow angel in the front yard.. (sorry about the date... again)

After her and Riley determined that the snow was to "fluffy" to make a snowman, they decided to get out her four-wheeler so that she could ride it in the snow. She had a blast until her hands started getting cold.. then she was DONE! Here are a few pic's of her driving around in the back yard. It was her first time driving her four wheeler in the snow.

2 Week Visit

We went to our 2 week check up at the doctors yesterday (12/8/2009) and our little Remzley is doing really good. They did his circumcision at this appointment; apparently Alpine Pediatrics does not do them at the hospital any longer. Poor little guy.
I got to get a first class seat and watch them do the procedure which was a little interesting.. guess i did not really realize what they did when they "performed" a circumcision. Needless to say, i may just be scarred for life--glad we are done having kids. I have not had any brothers in my family so i had no idea what i was in for.. lol But all is well today other then his "willy" if officially BRIGHT red and looks like it KILLS! The Dr instructed me to not touch it or do anything with it for a week; (other then Vaseline it up in the diaper) however this morning he had a BLOW OUT and i had to wipe it with a wet wipe to get it clean... he about DIED. He was crying so hard that he was turning purple. The lovely treasures that you get to deal with when you are a mom.

He is growing like crazy. When he was born he weighed 8lbs and 4 oz and 19 inches long and when we took him for his 2 day check up (b/c we left the hospital earlier then normal) he was down to 7lbs 1 oz and for his 2 weeks visit he was back up to 8lbs 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He is a chunk... and the nurse kept saying how strong he was. He already tries to hold his head up and if you set him on your legs he will sit up and fall over :) We might just have a football player on our hands.

Kaedynn is still having issues adjusting to the baby. She told me the other day she wishes that she was a "baby" so that i would have to take care of 2 babies. Which hurt my feelings.. then last night when i was putting her to bed i was talking to her and she told me that she doesn't think that i love her anymore; and that Dad needs to take care of the baby so that I can take care of her. She had me crying and I stayed in there a while with her talking to her and she seems to understand that babies are a lot of work and that I can not just drop everything to run and help her do things that she can do on her own anymore. I sure hope the venture with her gets easier. She has not been doing to great with the fact that she does not have ALL of my attention focused just on her anymore. I guess 5 years of being an only child has "spoiled" her and I just didn't realize that she was attached to me as she is/was. She keeps asking why Dad cant just take care of the baby, and i take care of her... i try to explain things to her, and i am hoping our conversation last night did some good.. i guess we will see where we go from here. If anyone out there has these problems or any advise, i would be a proud taker of any suggestions of things to try :)

Anyways.. here is our handsome little guy at 2 weeks. We are enjoying every minute of him and just love him to death!!

Here is a picture of Kaedynn.. Cant post anything with out a picture of both of them. (notice her shirt.. fits her PERFECTLY!!)

Christmas Time

We got our Christmas tree decor out this last weekend. Here is a picture of our cute little Christmas tree that me and Kaedynn decorated.

Kaedynn had her Nutcracker performance last night that we went and watched. I really suck at taking pictures in the dark (..as you can see) but here are a few of the pictures that i was able to snatch of her.

She loves performing on stage (this has changed, the first time she just sat there and would not do anything) now she asks continually when she gets to go out on the stage with the "bright lights" so that we can watch her. She has been a little stinker about going to dance lately, and we were about ready to be done with it; but for some reason when Colleen (the owner of our dance studio) asked her why she was wanting to quit, she had a sudden change of heart and decided she wanted to keep doing it. Gotta love little girl drama.

(sorry about all the crazy dates on my pictures, our camera has been freaking out on us, and we have to keep swapping out the batteries; so it keeps changing the date, and we forget to change it back :) )

Remzley's Bili Blanket

Remzley's bilirubin count has gone down and thankfully we are going to be giving this nice thing back to Praxair today or tomorrow. When we left the hospital on 11/22 his level was at 12, then on 11/23 it went to 14, 11/24 it went to 15.8, 11/25 it went to 16.8 and then on 11/27 it peaked at 17.8 on 11/28 it dropped down to 17.5, and on 11/29 it went down to 16.8 and then on 11/30 it was down to 15.4. The Dr said that with as good as he is eating and with the significant decline that we could discontinue using the bili-blanket and just wants us to watch and if he turns yellow to go back over the hospital to get tested again.
Everyday of going to the hospital to get him tested really sucked.. i am very grateful that it is finally declining and that we are making progress.

Babies Finished Room

Here are some of the completed pictures of baby Remz's room, since i never posted the final pictures :)

Here is the before picture.. just plain white walls
