I got to get a first class seat and watch them do the procedure which was a little interesting.. guess i did not really realize what they did when they "performed" a circumcision. Needless to say, i may just be scarred for life--glad we are done having kids. I have not had any brothers in my family so i had no idea what i was in for.. lol But all is well today other then his "willy" if officially BRIGHT red and looks like it KILLS! The Dr instructed me to not touch it or do anything with it for a week; (other then Vaseline it up in the diaper) however this morning he had a BLOW OUT and i had to wipe it with a wet wipe to get it clean... he about DIED. He was crying so hard that he was turning purple. The lovely treasures that you get to deal with when you are a mom.
He is growing like crazy. When he was born he weighed 8lbs and 4 oz and 19 inches long and when we took him for his 2 day check up (b/c we left the hospital earlier then normal) he was down to 7lbs 1 oz and for his 2 weeks visit he was back up to 8lbs 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He is a chunk... and the nurse kept saying how strong he was. He already tries to hold his head up and if you set him on your legs he will sit up and fall over :) We might just have a football player on our hands.
Kaedynn is still having issues adjusting to the baby. She told me the other day she wishes that she was a "baby" so that i would have to take care of 2 babies. Which hurt my feelings.. then last night when i was putting her to bed i was talking to her and she told me that she doesn't think that i love her anymore; and that Dad needs to take care of the baby so that I can take care of her. She had me crying and I stayed in there a while with her talking to her and she seems to understand that babies are a lot of work and that I can not just drop everything to run and help her do things that she can do on her own anymore. I sure hope the venture with her gets easier. She has not been doing to great with the fact that she does not have ALL of my attention focused just on her anymore. I guess 5 years of being an only child has "spoiled" her and I just didn't realize that she was attached to me as she is/was. She keeps asking why Dad cant just take care of the baby, and i take care of her... i try to explain things to her, and i am hoping our conversation last night did some good.. i guess we will see where we go from here. If anyone out there has these problems or any advise, i would be a proud taker of any suggestions of things to try :)
Anyways.. here is our handsome little guy at 2 weeks. We are enjoying every minute of him and just love him to death!!

Here is a picture of Kaedynn.. Cant post anything with out a picture of both of them. (notice her shirt.. fits her PERFECTLY!!)

Hey Nat, He is such a cute little guy. It's amazing how fast they get big. We go to Alpine Peds too and I hated watching the circumcision, its horriable! As for any advise with Kaedynn I would say just have her help you as much as possiable. Instead of it being daddy taking care of her and mom taking care of the baby. Ask her to help you take care of the baby. She can pick out the cloths he wears, help wash him, throw the diapers away, get the blanket, etc. It might make her feel involved pluse helps you out a ton. It's worked with my kids. Maybe it will work with Kaedynn. I hope it gets better, thats always tough. Good luck.
