Memorial Weekend

This year for Memorial Weekend we did not end up going anywhere. We had quite a few places we wanted to go and things to go see-- but Riley's work would not tell him if he was going to be working or not (until Thursday night)-- so we did not get anything planned, so we just decided to stay home and have fun with the kids.

On Saturday we went to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was pretty cool. I have been to better Aquariums.. One in Las Vegas and one in Maui.. but i guess for Utah it was ok :) There were SOOO many people there. We had to wait for 10 minutes to even get a parking spot. Then when we got in, there was people everywhere. (Not a place for my hubby - he gets so irritated with people). But we had fun and he did not get too mad... so it was good. Kaedynn was terrified of the sting rays. we were standing over the top of them and it came swimming right in front of her -- i told her to touch it, and she jumped back and said .. LETS GO. haha. So we moved on. I forgot my camera-- so no pictures of the Aquarium.

On Sunday, Riley and Kaedynn decided to practice t-ball. He is such a good daddy. We could not ask for a better one. She plays with us for about 20-25 minutes.. then says she is bored and wants to do something else.. T-ball season should be interesting this year :) She has her first practice tomorrow night, so i guess we will see how she does. Here are some pictures of Kaedynn and Riley playing in the back yard.. On Monday, Memorial Day we went to the zoo. I knew that there would be people there.. but did NOT expect there to be as many as there were. We got escorted to another parking lot (on the south end) that we did not even knew existed, and we waited in line for about 25 minutes for tickets to get in. We got there about 11 AM and by the time we left, around 3 PM it was even MORE packed. It was pretty crazy. I must say that the zoo is a little bit empty right now-- No zebras, bears.. Kind of sucked. I really wish they would bring back the Hippo's .. those were always my favorite when i was a kid.

After the zoo on Monday, we went to my sister Tosha's house and Kaedynn and Kota swam in their new HUGE pool. It was freezing cold water.. but the kids had alot of fun. We then BBQ's steaks and had cheesy potatoes. I sure love going with family. What a great weekend!

We had a pretty fun-filled weekend. The kids had alot of fun and we could not have asked for anything else. I hope everyone else had a good weekend.
